Nikiya Mathis is what we like to call an actors actor. Nikiya researches diligently before picking up a play the circumstances of the characters she portrays. She has a patience in the rehearsal process that is divine and she also is very generous and open in her ability to give to her fellow cast members onstage. Nikiya is the definition of what a #BLKARTS Artist of the week is because not only does she do her job onstage, she also participates in community projects and has her own hair business on the side. Nikiya is a AWESOME!
